Twas the Night After Christmas... Poem!

Twas the Night After Christmas...

Twas the night after Christmas
What more to say?
Ragged remains of the turkey
Plate accessorized with scraps...
And a dab of cold cranberry sauce
Yesterday’s new games played out
And films already viewed
Greatest joy - a few days of freedom
Until the year has passed
Analysis of situations... success or not success
That is the question!
New plans to be determined
With the passing of the midnight hour
As the New Year is counted in!
But for now, lazy days...
Belly full... belly laughter
And a few carefree hours
In the twilight of the Christmas Zone
Soon followed by the long journey home...
Happy New Year!
