'Portrait of A Legend and Other Folks' - CONGRATULATIONS Lindsay Donald!!

Uncle Sid, Lindsay Donald, The Honourable Aloun Ndombet-Assamba

Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in the presence of Her Excellency, The Honourable Aloun Ndombet-Assamba (High Commissioner of Jamaica,) we were thrilled to attend the launch of Lindsay Donald's amazing book Portrait of a Legend and other Folks. This prestigious event took place at the Jamaican High Commission, London.

Having interviewed Lindsay last year  ~IB~ Interview with Lindsay Donald, I can only congratulate him on his monumental achievement. Twenty years of work have gone into producing this beautiful black and white photographic record depicting some never before seen footage of Bob Marley and other famous people- a grand total of 300 pages!

Last year Lindsay was working extremely hard in the belief that his book would be published, yet he had no idea where the money to achieve his dream could possible come from. Yet, here we are with a finished product to hand. Definitely need to interview Lindsay again and discover the latest story behind the book!

The Honourable Aloun Ndombet-Assamba gave an excellent speech highlighting the fact that not enough Jamaican history has been preserved by the people therefore Lindsay's work is extremely valuable and adds to the country's heritage. With that in mind, we'll finish with a very apt quote from her speech which summarizes the value of, 'Portrait of A Legend and Other Folks.'

'A huge book not only in its size but in its importance.'
