How well do you know yourself?

Knowing Yourself

There are times in life where situations change or challenge us and we may have difficulty addressing our own actions or feelings. This poster accurately sums up that position and encourages reflection. How do we feel about ourselves? Do we understand the path we have just walked or are about to walk?

Most of us have a way of going about life however everybody acts out of character at times and this can be in a positive way. Sometimes the severity of events can bring about previously unknown strengths. We may be more courageous than we believed, find that we have the ability to make clearly analysed decisions, experience things that we imagined were beyond us. Alternatively we may act in ways that we later abhor and do things we wish we had avoided.

This results in times when others fail to understand us- that is not exactly our problem and sometimes we may have the skills to bring them around to our way of thinking; but when we fail to understand ourselves we are at a loss. When we feel like this it is a good time to relax and allow our inner voice to speak as we actually have all the answers.

Next time you don't understand something about yourself look at the triggers. Different people encourage us to react in different ways and possibly we are under the influence of people without realising it.

The best thing to do is to identify your own values and hold fast. Be in a position to know who you are and what makes you tick~ The better you are at being your own person minimises the need for regret. Be strong and be prepared for the unexpected. Life isn't clockwork, it's an incredible journey and we need to enjoy the adventure of self realisation
