Ese & The Vooduu People: "Fairytale" - Official Video

Ese & The Vooduu People: "Fairytale" - Official Video

Ese and the Vooduu People- this unique and extremely talented Rock band has just released their debut single, 'Fairytale.' - unfortunately blogger is playing up and you need to click the link to view! Is life a Fairytale? If you want to know Ese's point of view you will discover the answer to modern living in layers of clever lyrics grounded somewhere in the divide between fact and fiction. Ultimately life is what we make it and Ese certainly provides food for thought.

I have yet to see Ese and the Vooduu People live and this is one mind-blowing experience on my to do list- I have seen Ese singing solo which has stayed with me. Musically the song is exciting and skilfully performed; I love the way the track builds and it is very compelling- pure energy in fact.

Final thoughts- Great name, Great Song & I wish the band a Great Future!

The Word Magician!

After several months of running my Facebook page The Word Magician we have created a logo- the 'we' being my good friend Paul Van Beaumont who is a talented actor and film maker, and overseen by his partner and fellow actress Stevie Alexandria Smith- a very helpful additional opinion and yes Stevie- the original logo did resemble a pile of spliffs!

What we have here is a powerful logo with the 'W' at the forefront in white to depict a level of spiritual connection and the 'M' in red so that it is striking and reminds us that we are magic from the base up. The green represents love and it is a universal colour which apparently is easy on the brain.

I am not sure whether this is the finished article or a prototype- I have some ideas going beyond the logo as it stands that could prove interesting and inspiring- but let's see how it plays out. Anyway, It's a start and without a start we cannot finish so yes, I'm feeling good. Please check out the link above to The Word Magician page- support is always appreciated, as is feedback. Have a brill week~ Jaz

Parallax Art Fair- Coming THIS WEEKEND!

Without doubt, The Parallax Art Fair is a fantastic event! I went along several years ago and can still recall memories of a couple of works of art which is pretty amazing! I remember speaking with a classically trained ballet dancer who chose to capture images of dance on canvas- totally spectacular and I really enjoyed our discussion, being an avid ballet fan. I have vague visions of some beautiful nudes- not my usual cup of tea but these pictures were very sensuous and appealing, if somewhat large! Best described as highly erotic erotica.

The Parallax exhibition covers an extremely large array of artistic styles and even includes ceramics. This year there is the added incentive of jewellery workshops and even prize money, £1000 to spend on art or design- best of all, the exhibition is free! As you can see, the setting within Chelsea Town Hall really lends itself to artwork so architecture fans- here's something not to be missed. I believe this fair is growing in popularity and I fully intend to re-visit this year. If you love art this is a little sanctuary where you are guaranteed to find works that will appeal to you and a few points for discussion!

When you're just one person!!

Just thought I'd take a moment to reflect on a little reality! Ideally I would like to blog 2-3 times a week however this is more than a challenge as I have come to realize. Since moving, I am either up very early to get to work or getting home late, which combined with working more hours per week leaves less time to write! Speaking of writing, paid work takes priority and I am blessed that this is on the increase, my over-riding aim being to build up my professional work as The Word Magician.

I have nurtured Its Braap for years so it is not surprising that I have become disappointed with myself due to the decrease in posts, however this is simply not helpful! We need to accept that when life changes we have to adjust because something usually has to give and in my case the reduction in the number of blogs has arisen naturally. The most important thing to me is to continue producing quality work so that is where I will continue to focus, hence I have some interviews lined up to share with you shortly.

Life is momentum and when we live it in positive expectation we will have new exciting experiences presenting themselves all the time- and this is what we should celebrate and be thankful for! Its Braap is a platform where I share my passions. As The Word Magician I use the same passion to help other people promote themselves effectively. I enjoy finding the words to entice people to take an interest in different projects and to share experiences that benefit others. My bio's give you a real feel for the artist and I was pleased this week when Macini told me that my name came up when someone enquired as to who had written his bio- Macini is certainly not the first person to tell me that, just the most recent!

It is right that after so many years of dedication to Its Braap my talents are being rewarded in a prosperous way- by helping individuals and receiving financial recognition for the work. This blog is my baby and I enjoy sharing a multitude of things with you however it has to fit in with the balance of my life and this is a lesson I am only just acknowledging! So there you have it- when you're just one person there is a limit to the amount you can produce, so I will continue to post whilst embracing new opportunities to extend my writing into new zones- speaking of which, I really hope to have my first book- 'Piranha In The Goldfish Bowl' out soon!
